Invest in Design

At Dion Seminara Architecture we both design your home, and advise you on the likely financial investment required for completion. We recommend that you discuss a home design investment and a construction investment budget with us early in the process.

Design investments and construction investments are dealt with individually.  

Every architectural project requires the services of independent consultants - surveyors to do contour surveys, structural engineers to prepare structural design of your home, private certifiers to provide building approval and so on.

Dion Seminara Architecture can provide more than a full architectural design service - with internal resources for full interior design, garden design & garden architecture.

Our Architectural Advice - Project Startup Services

We offer competitive introductory fixed rates for our Project Startup services, including our Verbal Advice Consultation service or for some projects, the Feasability Analysis Service.

The Architectural Advice Services, including the Verbal Advice Consultation and the Feasability Analysis provide you with introductory investment levels. Our Architect's Design

When you advance to our Architects Design Plan, the Sketch Design Service and Detailed Design also has a predetermined investment based on the square metre area of your new home, extension or renovated space. In all cases then, you can be totally assured of the best value for your investment.

Our Architectural Documentation Services

At this level, your investment is based on the average number of hours required to complete a project type, defined by your list of requirements and site parameters, then tailored to specific needs. The investment is often expressed in a combination of hourly rate and lump sum, and only very large or complicated projects are expressed as a percentage for contract documentation stage. Where percentages are appropriate, Dion Seminara Architecture percentages are based on industry standards.

Your investment will depend on the scope of service you require and the amount of work needed to complete your project. On completion of one of our Project Startup services, we will be able to determine the services your project will require and liaise with you to formulate the investment involved.

What is calculated in the square metre size?

All areas from the internal face of all external walls and significant roofed external spaces are calculated in the square metre size of your project.

Dion Seminara Architecture do not include eaves or overhangs in our calculations (i.e. we don't include all areas under roof).
